I imagine myself a maker of things.
A creative who gets to build or craft ideas into usable things. Like songs or poems or events or chairs or love. This site represents my want to be a maker of (fine) things.
No Jewels is a book of poems. Tai Allen is a poet. But the singular theme is why you should read it. The book wants you to understand how difficult growing up can be. Remind you the traps and trappings are abound for young men and women.
After you have put the book down or the music is paused: Become or stay committed to our children. You buying/stealing/finding the material makes happy. Your commitment to our collective future make me excited and grateful to be a creative.
